Like many traders, I once thought I had found the perfect strategy – until I realised TradingView’s backtester isn’t perfect and that ‘look ahead’ bias can completely distort results (as shown in the photo). That moment forced me to build my own scripts, test strategies properly, and truly understand algorithmic trading.
